Back to Training

Had another stent to clear a blockage in my heart. Waited for weeks to get back in the pool. Swam 10x25s 2 weeks ago and 10x25's followed by 10x50s last week. Same this week. Swam tonight

Felt great, probably as well as anytime in last 2 years. Maybe this last stent did the trick. I have been swimming horribly the last 2 years. Couldn't figure out if it was the stent procedures, medications. or old age. Looks like this last stent had some impact.

No training this week

Have decided to have another angioplasty because a possible artery blockage exists. So no training this last week. Procedure is scheduled for the the 17th. If I have another stent, means 6 weeks of down time. Just walking and some easy riding on the beach cruiser. Will spent much time researching heart disease and eating better. Looks like I have a serious case of heart disease.

Ran 1 mile Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday and walked 3 miles after except Sunday. Rained Sunday and Wednesday. Also studied YRG and P90X. Will start with the PRG program 3 times a week.
